I love the direction of intermingling parenting & self-discovery and appreciate the shout! I think I've been doing that on my substack even though I'm supposed to be focused on parenting issues and masculinity because of my upcoming book. Oh well, we are who we are and I'm here for it!

Thanks, Joanna! I think one theme inevitably leads to others, since they’re all so intertwined. I imagine when the goal is to build a brand or persona around a specific/niche topic for the purpose of book publishing, it can get tricky. I’m a mom of boys and excited to read your book, so you must be doing something right 😉.

This sounds great! I’m not a parent but I think you’re right that parenting is universally interesting, especially when it comes to the self. Looking forward to reading!

I’m so happy to hear you say that! I as well really like reading perspectives of people without kids…although always with a twinge of envy. The grass is always greener, I guess 😄.

Love your focus! So much of parenting content is surface level - lots of how to's or funny/depressing memes/tiktoks.
