I'm seriously spiraling in the jean department. I have one pair that are not skinny jeans...and they are frumpy AF. I'm also struggling with shoes. What are people doing with their feet these days? I feel so ashamed at all of the TikToks/Reels featuring fresh-faced women telling us how to make over Millennial outfits, and I always think the Millennial one is cuter!! Does this mean I'm officially old??
We may be old, but the millennial outfits ARE cuter. They are objectively more flattering. I think Gen Z literally does not want to dress in a flattering way. It's like a statement they're making.
For sure they’re more flattering, although I have to say, I’m a big fan of oversized shirts just for comfort and I like the look. But the baggy bottoms aren’t doing a whole lot for me.
Oh god, you’re so right on the shoes! There’s no doubt that shoes just look better with skinnier pants. I think the frumpy look is kind of what’s in right now which naturally lends itself better to younger people, who can mostly get away with wearing anything. I’ve never felt as confused about fashion as I do right now. Solidarity!
