Stephanie I have to say I thought it was bad for young parents with little kids but not the extent you are feeling it. Even as the pandemic is ruining careers. My children have also been affected but there are no precious little ones as yet. I pray things get better for all of us soon and life can go on without such restrictions
Yes! Wow I don’t know if I was like fkn yeah or Crying inside realizing what I have been doing for freaking 2 years now. But from the top to bottom this definitely explained all that I’m going thru. probably sharing this with my therapist…here doc this is whats up plus more lol. Ty so much.
100% this!! Thank you for posting how I and my husband have been feeling. Bring into the picture elderly grandparents who don't wat to see your children as they are bug carriers and it tops it all off. So very tired!😫
Literally my own thoughts are written here.. Checking on my little one breathing pattern after a terrible cough episode at 2 am, this writing is a warm hug that I long needed.. I feel that I’m not alone :) thanks to you ….
I could have written this myself. It’s a constant state of fight or flight, and I’m worried that the “crash and burn” stage of it is just around the corner - probably in time for another school shut down. Thanks for saying out loud what we’re all feeling.
If you're looking for a distraction, the new Home Alone on Disney+ is actually really good! It's called, "Home Sweet Home Alone" and has Rob Delaney, Ellie Kemper, Kenan Thompson, and a whole bunch of other really funny people in it. Great way to escape from the hellish Groundhog Day we are currently living in.
This resonated so hard. The career thing in particular. We have no family support and so balancing who is taking the day off for the covid test, and who is taking the day off while we wait for results, is so tough. I’m the primary income earner and also have the more flexible leave, and I cannot stress enough how crappy it feels to always be taking time off. Any hopes I had of career advancement are on hold until who knows when. Thank you for writing this ❤️
No family support sounds impossible. And the work stuff. It's all impossible, I don't know how anyone is doing anything at this point! Hang in there ❤️

This hit me hard. Thank you for writing this. I cried reading it, as did others I shared it with. This felt like a sobbing hug from parent to parent.
Thank you for this comment! I'm glad/sad to know it resonates with so many. Sending big non-Covid hugs out to you.
Cheers to you Mama! I see you, I hear you, I feel you. I hope you hear me also screaming in my pillow.
Nothing like a bit of rage to carry us through this!
